2011 Challenge: Baby's Fancy - Boy Start

This was the first quilt I got the fabric together for and it was just fun to see random parts of my stash come together for this. The way the pattern is set up, it just calls for a novelty fabric in the block center and I just happened to have one I thought would be perfect for a boy. But it was a pretty big print, so I did end up fussy cutting a few blocks to get the designs in. And I was cutting around holes where I had fussy cut hexagons for an I Spy quilt once.

The rest of the fabrics were in my stash, worked perfectly and I'm excited to see them come together. My only concern with this particular pattern is all those triangles. Me and triangles are not friends. So we shall see how well I am able to piece this guy.

(Realizing I need to get pictures of the individual patterns so you can see what I'm actually making out of this fabric pile. But I need to sew!)
